Clipped wings fall to the ground

Once a bird, now I am nothing

Trapped in this human body

Suffocating on this earth

How I long for my blue skies

I ache to soar

I wish for my freedom

To taste the clouds in the sunlight

I am dying here

This is not my world

I don't belong here

Let Me Go

I was meant to fly towards the heavens

Not walk upon this earth

I belong to the sky

Like a child belongs to its mother

Free me from my bindings

Give me my wings

Let me go to my home

I must return to the sky

It beckons to me

I cannot resist its beauty

I am a creature not of this earth

Let me go

Let me soar

Or watch me perish on this earth
