There is a trembling in my soul
There is a rumbling in my mind
I feel tangled up inside

Questions come to the surface
Waiting for unknown answers
It's that feeling again
Of being unsure
Of feeling insecure
Of doubting my choice(s)

I breathe in, and then I breathe out
Trying to soothe the flames inside of me
Again, I breathe in, and I breathe out
My body shakes from side to side

I feel overwhelmed
I close my eyes
Taking myself far away
To a place I feel safe

I leave my body behind
As my spirit flys up high
This is the world of my dreams
The place created in my mind

There is only light
There is only joy
There is only me
This is my sanctuary

I find freedom here
Where no eyes can judge me
Where no words can hurt me
I'm at peace in this dreamland

A place of solitude and reflection
That leads to loneliness and hunger
An emotional hunger for another
I am starving to death

Inside this fragile body of mine
I am waiting for sustanence
Something to take the hunger away
To give warmth to this cold body of mine

To someone for the first time
They dropped it and it shattered
Across this world there are shards
Of me scattered without regard
By someone I once loved

Overwhelmed and Confused
I reach a hand out to you

From the memories in this place
I want to forget everything that happened
From this moment let it remain in our past
Let us start anew and live in this present

Can you take my hand and lead me
To a place of happiness and freedom
A world away from the one we came from
Can I trust you to protect me always
From the darkness that follows me
Like a shadow from a bad dream

Pull me closer to your side
Take me to a better place
One where there is no darkness
A place where the past cannot reach us
Where those shadows cannot harm me

I'll give my faith to you

This place of dread and misery

I sit by my window
Staring out into the world
Wondering inside my head
How long will it take
Before you reach me
How long must I wait
For you to find me
How much will I endure
Waiting for you

What are you doing
In this world alone
