Sitting in a blue chair
I look out the window
The trees making a flutter
The light of day soothes me

A song that makes me catch my breathe
Telling me there is a light oustside
Bringing back memories of moments
When the darkness seemed endless
I feel warm inside knowing I survived
Now I am walking in the sunlight
The dark has no power over me

I'm thinking of you
Wondering what I can do
To save you from yourself
I used to be just like you
Hungry, Alone, Cold, Broken, Scarred
Even now those wounds are still there
I had to "fix" me on my own
No one knew the shadows of my life
The person I was then was empty
Now, I am learning what fills me up slowly
My story almost came to an end
But now a new chapter is being written
Take my hand and let me pull you out
Of the darkness that surrounds you
Hear my voice and let me guide you to
A place to heal your mind
